The latest Corona figures for Austria again show fewer new infections and significantly fewer deaths.
Within a day there have been 1,391 new infections with the virus across Austria. Most of them in Lower Austria, Upper Austria and Vienna. In addition, 14 people died from or with the disease.
The current positive test results are distributed among the nine federal states as follows:
▶ Burgenland: 59
▶ Carinthia: 96
▶ Lower Austria: 287
▶ Upper Austria: 262
▶ Salzburg: 150
▶ Styria: 38
▶ Tyrol: 153
▶ Vorarlberg: 69
▶ Vienna: 277
As of today (January 02, 2021, 09:30 a.m.), 6,275 people across Austria have died as a result of Corona virus and 336,922 have recovered. Currently, 2,224 people are undergoing hospitalization due to the Corona virus, and of these, 372 of the ill are in intensive care units.
